Panama. More than 80 technical and administrative collaborators of the Mop and Municipalities of the province of Chiriquí receive training to save energy, by experts from the National Secretariat of Energy (SNE).
The participating firms also highlight corregidores of corregimientos who are transmitters and agents of change in their sector.
The main objective is to raise awareness among officials, to make good use of energy and avoid energy waste in state offices, to lower costs on electricity bills.
This orientation by engineer Marcos Muñoz and engineer Armando Osorio is a guide that establishes goals and daily practices both in offices as well as in homes, to measure results and identify opportunities for improvements for energy savings.
The technicians made their talks presenting users with practical ways such as the operation of the meter when using inefficient versus efficient devices and that the results in their electricity account depend on them.
The experts stressed to those present that they should pay greater attention to the equipment that spends more energy, including refrigerators and air conditioning. In addition, identify and repair energy leaks in order to reduce costs.
This training seeks to follow the guidelines, standard and pillars that appear within the National Energy Plan of SNE, including energy efficiency and sobriety in consumption.
