Mexico. Hidalgo hosted the first Scientific Forum on Sustainable Construction Technologies, a space in which the academic area of architecture of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH) analyzed the studies of relevance and feasibility for the creation and design of two master's degrees related to construction, one of them specialized in civil engineering and the other in architecture.
The first master's degree will be specialized in civil engineering and will have to do with materials technology and sustainable construction; meanwhile, the second, related to architecture, will have as its main line the administration of projects and works.
This was explained by Carlos Bigurra Alzati, from the academic area of architecture of the UAEH, when talking about the objectives in an interview during the radio program "Firefly".
The bet is to prepare professionals in the field with an increasing focus on sustainable construction, more friendly to the environment and with greater benefits for the population of cities.
The objective of the forum was to exchange ideas and experiences for the strengthening of the lines of research of the academic body of sustainable civil engineering and materials technology, as well as the research group of architecture, technology and habitability of the Autonomous University of Hidalgo, through collaboration with members of consolidated academic bodies in the country.
The forum also brought together private initiative, alumni, federal and state governments to see how to build more environmentally friendly buildings.
For the analysis of the lines of research, two experts in the subjects were present: Dr. Mohamed Abatal of the Autonomous University of Ciudad del Carmen, who participates in the disciplinary academic body of energy and materials; and Dr. Dagoberto Burgos Flores of the University of Sonora, who participates in the academic bodies of civil works, environment and sustainable infrastructure.
Carlos Bigurra indicated that the guests advise the highest house of studies in the state so that the new academic programs have a better and broader support.
In addition, in Mexico there is a lack of strict regulation in the execution of works by the authorities.
Therefore, the importance of the administration of projects and construction works, which is defined as an integrated system of methods applicable to the management of all phases of projects, covering the necessary technical procedures from their beginning or conception at the level of ideas and / or plans, until their lifting and subsequent completion.
The process includes the stages of planning, scheduling, implementation, direction and control of projects. Thus constituting a rational methodology for the best use of resources.
