The first application to make 100% hotel reservations on Facebook, called mireserva.co, developed by Blog, Inc. S.A. was designed and launched in Colombia.
The more than 900 million registered in this social network will now have the possibility to carry out the entire process of booking a hotel, including the online payment stage, without having to leave the famous community through the application.
According to insideFacebook.com, contrary to the popular imagination that the majority of users of this network are young, two-thirds of the Facebook community in the United States is made up of graduates and more than half are between 26 and 64 years of age.
To make use of this tool, the creators explain that each hotel must have a fan page on Facebook (those pages that users can give a "Like"), it is mandatory to have the Zeus hotel system installed.
In this way, the person who manages the hotel page on the social network will be able to install a promotional tab from where users will have access to a mini site (all within Facebook) where information will be obtained on the disponibility of rooms, characteristics, amenities of the establishment, prices, among other data.
From there it is offered the possibility of entering the data of the reservation and making the payment of the same, a transaction that is registered in the Zeus system. "The installation of the application is only done once and the payment per use must be monthly," explains Juan Carlos Otoya, manager of Zeus Technology.
