With three visits to important buildings operating in the city of Medellín and its surroundings, the activities of the 2012 edition of the Congress that convenes the main operators, administrators and managers of modern buildings in Latin America, TecnoEdificios, begins today.
The opening activity is a walk through three facilities highlighted by their cutting-edge design and the inclusion of technology in their infrastructure.
Three groups of attendees to the Congress will participate in guided tours in the multinational company specialized in cosmetics Avon, located in the municipality of Guarne; the San Vicente de Paul hospital based in the municipality of Rionegro, and the Ruta N Innovation and Business Center, in the city of Medellín.
The academic agenda, and in parallel the commercial exhibition of the Congress, will open between November 8 and 9. There will be space for training on topics related to best practices for the operation of buildings, energy saving, management, administration, security, integration, air conditioning and sustainability for buildings, advised by a group of expert speakers from the United States, Mexico and Colombia.
Additionally, TecnoEdificios prepared three important panels where professionals will talk about the benefits of LEED Certification, the importance of generating value in a building and the reality of the Commissioning service.
Within the framework of the event, the official presentation of the Association of Modern Building Managers, Agem, will take place; initiative that was born at the beginning of 2012 with the aim of convening, training and updating the administrators and those in charge of managing this type of properties in the region.
