During the inauguration, in recent days, of the Conference on Energy Efficiency in Facility Management, organized by the International Facility Management Association of Spain (IFMA Spain), the general director of Industry, Energy and Mines of the Community of Madrid, Carlos López Jimeno, said that this Spain is one of the least implemented energy saving measures in buildings.
At the meeting, the actors of the energy sector proposed solutions to this situation and shared innovative trends on efficiency and sustainability in buildings with a view to productivity and generating greater value of the building hand in hand with respect.
López mentioned that one of the measures that are being implemented is the Renove plan, which seeks to renew the boilers in Madrid He mentioned the help to renovate the boilers in Madrid as part of a process of raising awareness among the population about the use of renewable materials.
The executive highlighted the high consumption generated by elevators in all types of buildings. "Spain's high energy consumption is found in the little information there is on this issue in this context, despite campaigns to promote savings."
According to Elena González, managing parter of C19 Energy Partner "Spain has 80% of oil imports, it is necessary to look for other measures to reduce energy consumption such as wind energy, renewable energies and other forms that exist, and that these measures are not necessarily to lower the price of gas, oil or switch to renewables".
Other measures recommended by the expert are to reduce energy consumption, change habits, is maintenance and energy control; it is necessary to monitor, to improve the information of knowing how much we spend at each step.
