The Deliberative Council of Buenos Aires recently approved a resolution inviting building managers to suppress any form of advertising installed in their coronaments.
This resolution refers to compliance with Ordinance 9,880 of the Public Space Code, which prohibits the installation of commercial, commercial, business or promotional messages at the crowning of buildings.
As explained by Councilwoman Valeria Amendolara that "in our city there are currently buildings that have this type of facilities in their crownings, generating inequities since they can be considered as promoters of construction companies and constitute covert advertising".
In addition, Amendolara added that both the dimensions and colors of these messages affect the production of visual pollution.
