The Municipal Council of Rosario, Argentina, approved a project that will create a registry to establish requirements and contemplate sanctions for building managers and consortia that abuse their position.
The initiative was advanced by Councilman Silvio Mario Valli and designed by the mayor Daniela León. It is expected that all building managers in the city will register because the idea was born because of the complaints and suggestions presented by neighbors who have been affected by this type of situation.
Before local media, the official explained that the registration will be mandatory to obtain the authorization as an administrator or validate it.
"We intend to appear on the list with name and surname plus all the requirements that are asked of them so that the owners can access that data, choose and denounce those who commit excesses, as has been happening in many buildings in the city," said León.
The registration will depend on the Municipal Consumer Office and the consortium members will be able to report there to the administrators. Similarly, each year, the office will issue a certificate of proper functioning of the administrations and the habilitation.
