Panama. The Technical Board of Engineering and Architecture (Jtia) approved the Air Conditioning and Ventilation Regulation (RAV) for the Republic of Panama, which was prepared jointly with the Panamanian Association of Air Conditioning and Ventilation (Apayre).
From now on the RAV will be mandatory throughout the Panamanian country and it will be the responsibility of the state authorities with jurisdiction in air conditioning and ventilation to enforce the rule.
The RAV regulates the design, installation, modification or inspection of air conditioning and ventilation systems and is designed to be used by professionals in the branch of mechanical engineering related to this industry.
Additionally, the regulation will be used in conjunction with the current regulation with the matter issued by the Technical Board of Engineering and Architecture and other competent entities.
