Mexico. The Energy Saving and Efficiency Plan of Gudalajara, approved in plenary session last July and which will involve an investment of approximately 2.5 million euros will allow municipalities to achieve savings in the electricity bill, reducing light pollution and improving public lighting and also some water pumping systems in the villages.
The new one will facilitate the renovation of its public lighting and will reduce the receipts in more than 120 municipalities of the province, has already received the agreement of "more than 80% of municipalities" with the amount of the municipal contribution that they must assume for these works.
The deputy responsible for Regional Centers and Municipal Cooperation, Octavio Contreras, has indicated that the program advances in the fulfillment of the previous procedures that will allow its execution in the coming months being the "practically totality" of the municipalities that have already sent it.
Contreras has highlighted as a novelty the fact that the needs and the estimated budget in each town have been determined through a previous study based on a meticulous field work to collect all the information on the location of the light points by type of luminaire and lamp and the calculation of the installed powers by each control panel.
