International. With the intention of increasing the safety of customers and employees, the Sheraton Hotel Warsaw has replaced the fire alarm system it had with a Bosch fire safety solution. In addition, the system integrator, Bosch's local partner, installed a voice evacuation system, which is closely interconnected with the new fire stations.
The five-star Sheraton Warsaw is one of the most prestigious hotels in Poland's capital. Located in Plaza de las Tres Cruces, just a few steps from the Royal Lazienki Park, the historic Nowy Świat Street and the Parliament, it offers more than 350 elegant rooms and suites, 18 meeting rooms with capacity for 650 people, an exclusive lounge and a collection of high-class restaurants. In addition, it has served as the temporary home of several foreign embassies.
After many years of operation, the hotel's Technical Director and Safety Director decided to change the fire protection system it had and install an innovative and modular solution that would cover superior fire detection and intelligent voice evacuation. The design bureau Instel MM, which collaborated with the integrator on this project, designed a solution with two networks of Bosch 5000 Series modular panels, which is managed through the 5000 remote keyboard series.
More than 1,600 automatic optical and thermal fire detectors and nearly 200 manual pushbuttons were installed in guest rooms, meeting offices and public areas throughout the hotel. The Bosch Building Integration System (BIS) acts as a fire visualization system and allows a seamless integration of the operations of the fire stations and the voice evacuation system.
To ensure quick and safe evacuation in case of alarm, the system integrator installed a Praesideo public voice and digital evacuation system with 29 amplifiers.
It is compatible with more than 1,500 speakers and allows the distribution of intelligible evacuation instructions and directed to different parts of the building.
Based on the BIS and an open and modular system architecture, Sheraton Warsaw now has an interconnected security solution, which allows very efficient cost operations, with possibilities to expand and adapt to the requirements that may arise in the future.
