Latin America. Bosch Security Systems has introduced the new software versions so that your system is always up to date: Video Management System 7.5 (BVMS 7.5), which will allow security operators to review recordings more quickly and efficiently while increasing their storage compatibility; Building Integration System (BIS 4.4), which extends the functions of centralized management of card users and the resilience of the system in general; Access Professional Edition (APE 3.5) with two new features; and LECTUS secure 1000 reader with a new card reader and functionalities.
With BVMS 7.5 playback performance improves when operators are navigating at high speed through recordings, skipping the processing of frames that are not visible to the human eye. It includes scientific search that allows you to scan through recording databases in search of a specific event in a matter of seconds. BVMS 7.5 has also increased the compatibility of its system to allow easy integration of software and third-party devices. Communication between the Operator Customer and other system components can be exchanged through a single, secure and open channel, making it easier for system integrators to set up secure access to the system.
The BIS 4.4 software update extends two key access control functions: centralized management of card users and overall system resiliency. The centralized card user management feature allows corporate security operators to create, update, and delete card users, as well as assign and withdraw authorizations from them, centrally. In addition, BIS 4.4 ensures that all multisite card and access authorization user information is created on a central server and replicated to all servers connected from each center. This ensures that the same information about card users is available in all locations.
On the other hand, it has further improved the functionality of its Access Professional Edition (APE) access control software and has just released version 3.5. This release comes with two new features: the global anti-return feature, which prevents unauthorized credentials from being shared so that it only allows the cardholder to re-enter if they have left before, and the enhanced Software Development Kit (SDK) that allows APE to exchange information regarding door control and door status with other security systems.
Bosch has extended the flexibility and security of its LECTUS Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) series with a new card reader and new functionalities. Together, these extensions allow you to adopt the series at a favorable price and use continuous encryption between the controller and the card. The reader series now supports the Bosch-coded MIFARE classic and MIFARE DESFire EV1 credentials. The new solution provides maximum security to communications between the controller and the reader and also increases the variety of compatible readers.
Thanks to the new updates, Bosch is able to offer comprehensive security solutions. Thus, if a person wished to access a room and present their credentials in the door reader, the information and a photograph of the person would be stored in the APE access control system and shared with the Bosch Video Management System (VMS). Then, using the video camera and Intelligent Video Analytics, VMS would check if the person at the door is identical to the person in the photo and tell APE whether to open the door or not.
