International. Panasonic presented its new range of Free Multi air conditioning systems compatible with R32 and adaptable to a wide variety of indoor units to offer flexibility to both installers and end users. Users can control these units through their Smartphone, allowing them to turn them on and off or change the temperature level from wherever they want. Another connectivity port allows Panasonic units to be connected to protocols for building and home automation, such as Modbus, KNX or Bacnet.
Panasonic's Free Multi systems represent a good alternative to provide comfort to a home or office. A single compact unit can be connected with up to five types of indoor units to save outdoor space: Etherea splits, TE compact splits, 60x60 cassettes, low silhouette ducts and floor consoles. In addition, each room will have an independent control so that users can select the desired temperature or save energy when a room is not in use.
Panasonic's latest range of Free Multi HVAC systems uses R32 (except for floor consoles) which ensures greater operational efficiency compared to older refrigerants such as R410A. R32 is more environmentally friendly, with a potential global warming (GWP) of only 550 much lower than the GWP of R410A which is from 1980. In addition, these devices use 30% less R32 refrigerant, which generates additional cost savings for the end user. The installation is carried out in a simple way thanks to the fact that the Free Multi range is compatible with the existing pipe, which was previously used for the refrigerants R22 and R410A significantly reducing time and costs in the installation.
