Brazil's beaches feature a new property of the IHG hotel chain, the newly opened Holiday Inn Express Maceio Ponta Verde, located in the capital of the coastal state of Alagoas in northeastern Brazil.
This hotel has 160 rooms and is located one block from the beach. It also offers high-speed wireless Internet access throughout the hotel, four event rooms for 150m2 of meeting space and capacity for 100 people, outdoor pool, gym and business center.
IHG spokespersons highlighted the tourism potential of this destination and the importance of having accommodation options for an area in full development and with a tendency to continue increasing the quantity and quality of its visitors.
Álvaro Diago, IHG's COO for Latin America and the Caribbean, said: "We are pleased with the growth achieved by the Holiday Inn Express brand in the northeast region of Brazil with the opening of a hotel in Maceió, a city known for its beaches of fine white sands, emerald waters, fabulous water sports and quiet elegance."
