A new concept in hospitality is being developed in Valparaíso, Chile; this is the new Hotel Palacio Astoreca, which is located on the Chilean coast and one hour from the capital.
This project seeks to combine the classic and elegant style of European hotels with the heritage and architectural recovery of the bay of Valparaíso, a city that was declared a World Heritage Site by the Usesco in 2003. This will be the first palace hotel in the South American country.
This new establishment is a Victorian mansion that was built in 1920. It preserves details of the time and an interior decorated with style of the time; is one of the few hotels in the country that has the status of a national monument.
The property was acquired by a Swiss-Chilean couple who, with the advice of Mathias Klotz, renowned architect, perfectly merged the aesthetics of both countries, making it one of the most luxurious in Chile.
The Hotel Palacio Astoreca has 23 rooms with views of the bay or the hills; a luxurious restaurant, restaurant Alegre, run by prominent Spanish chef Sergio Barroso. In addition, it offers guests an elegant spa and a complete wet area with a steam bath, heated indoor pool, massage room and a wooden hot tub surrounded by a vertical ivy garden.
For those travelers who love history, the establishment offers a complete library with old and modern books and in different languages.
