The GHL Hotels chain of Colombia reported today that it signed an agreement with the Accor chain of France and the Terrano Real Estate to build, with an investment of 25 million dollars, and operate a combination of Novotel and Ibis hotels in the jorge Chávez international airport area of Lima, Peru.
The Director of Development of GHL Hotels, Andrés Sánchez, said that at the end of this year the works will begin, which, in its first phase, will consist of 200 rooms and in the final stage another 200 more will be added for a total of 400 rooms.
He said that GHL Hoteles is studying the profile of the product, which will be for the national and international entrepreneur who usually travels to the center of Lima to get hotel accommodation services, says Andina.
"We see an important objective in serving these entrepreneurs with a very consistent accommodation product, which has a combination of accommodation, restaurants and rooms for events and conventions, as well as rooms that are very competitive in the market so that companies can develop their businesses without having to go to the center of Lima," Stressed.
He added that the new four-star hotel (select service) is emerging as a link point with the tourist circuits of Peru, allowing tour operators to offer a product for the foreign visitor who arrives at night or early in the morning in order to take the flight to Cusco or Puno.
Finally, he said that it remains to be defined whether the works begin with the Novotel or Ibis product, although it could also be a combination of the two brands.
