El Salvador. By 2016, marriott international plans to have a 130-room hotel under the Fairfield by Marriott brand in San Salvador. The construction of the hotel will be carried out next to the La Gran Via shopping center and will allow it to be located near important companies such as Bayer, Siemens, Citibank, among others.
As announced in a statement, the companies in charge of this development will be Urbanica Desarrollos Inmobiliarios, Caribe Hospitality and Terranum Hotels, which also own the Courtyard by Marriott San Salvador hotel.
"As Central America continues to develop, the region's middle class continues to grow and travel more and more, requiring reliable, high-quality lodging options to serve their lodging needs," said Craig S. Smith, president, Caribbean and Latin America, Marriott International.
"This new ownership reaffirms the company's commitment to Central America and represents the continuation of our aggressive growth plans in the region," Smith added.
