Latin America. Hilton Worldwide announced the appointment of Tom Potter as Senior Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean. Potter will then be in charge of the operations of around 40 properties and will oversee the development plan in the region of the entire chain. At the same time, the executive will play a key role in the ambitious expansion plans that the company has drawn up for the Caribbean and Latin America.
With a track record of more than 35 years at Hilton, Potter has seen up close the company's impressive growth in the Latin American region so in his new role, he will focus primarily on continuing this effort.
"Expanding our presence in Latin America is one of our most important priorities. I am committed to working closely with our customers to sustain this momentum," Potter said.
Since joining the Hilton team in 1979 at the London Hilton hotel front desk, Potter has held various management positions around the world, gaining experience in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Belgium and England. Most recently, Potter served as vice president for Central and South America.
