International. IFMA (The International Facility Management Association) recently announced the appointment of Michael V. Geary, CAE, as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, who has served in this role since February 10, 2025. With more than thirty years of distinguished leadership in the association and nonprofit sectors, Mike is poised to propel IFMA into a future where it not only addresses today's global challenges, but also leads tomorrow's innovations.
Most recently, Mike served as Executive Director of the Society for Professional Marketing Services (SMPS) and the SMPS Foundation, where he supported over 7400 professionals in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. His career path also includes key positions at AmericanHort, the American Institute of Architecture Students, and the National Association of Home Builders, where he drove global engagement and cultivated inclusive professional networks across continents.

In his new role, Mike will leverage his extensive network of contacts within the association community and his deep experience in strategic planning to strengthen IFMA's presence internationally. She is dedicated to forging strong relationships and ensuring that every member of our diverse community feels represented and valued.
