Paraguay. The Municipality of Asunción granted in 2013 permits for the construction of 800,000 square meters in Asunción, of which 60% corresponds to the corporate and housing axis formed by the avenues Aviadores del Chaco and Santa Teresa.
Since the building boom began in the area in 2011 until October of this year, permits were granted to build 1,500,000 square meters in Asunción maintaining the proportion.
Although there are many works under construction, there is still much to be developed in the area; the investment in corporate buildings and hotels are installed on Aviadores del Chaco Avenue, where the World Trade Center stands out, made up of 4 Towers of more than 20 floors and parking for 1,000 vehicles whose investment is US$60 million; and the Shopping del Sol, which has added 20,000 m² of locative area to its facilities.
Santa Teresa Avenue houses apartment buildings and some hotels; in this artery is located Paseo La Galería, which adds 220,000 m² of construction to the area, in a complex that includes a shopping center, gastronomic and two corporate towers, convention center, with an investment of USD 200 million.
The most significant works already completed and others under construction are The Towers buildings, with 102 apartments distributed over 29 floors, The One, in the process of completion, with 124 apartments; Torre Aviadores, with an investment of US$14 million for 24 floors that will house corporate offices; Altagracia with 22 floors for housing; Miranda, 25 floors for apartments, in addition to Torre Denis Roa, with 10 floors that house 18 apartments, Torre Santa Teresa, 17 floors with 28 apartments, and Martinique, already completed that has 28 apartments distributed in 20 floors and Nuestra Señora del Magnificat, with 36 apartments, one of the most luxurious in the area.
The hotels that are erected in the area are the Aloft Hotel, with 120 rooms; Dazzler Tower Asunción with 280 rooms, Esplendor Asunción Hotel, with 220 rooms.
