Colombia. From February 26 to 28, the Colombian Chamber of Construction – Camacol Antioquia – will hold Expoinmobiliaria 2016, in Plaza Mayor Convention Center, through which it will exhibit the wide range of new properties in Medellín and the department of Antioquia. Likewise, and through its Fair, the guild will demonstrate the good moment of the construction sector as an engine of the Colombian economy.
It is expected that around 20 thousand visitors will concentrate in the Fairgrounds, during the three days of the fair, to know more than 300 projects of 74 construction companies that have the support of Camacol Antioquia.
"Expoinmobiliaria is ratified every year as the most important showcase of new properties in the department. We want to invite Antioquians to learn about the wide variety of housing projects and other buildings in the metropolitan area, the east and the near west; not only to find the property of their dreams but to think about a long-term investment," said Dr. Eduardo Loaiza Posada, Manager of Camacol Antioquia.
Through its concept "Catch your place", Camacol Antioquia will permanently advise and guide visitors in the search process and in making agile and accurate purchasing decisions. For this, Expoinmobiliaria will have at the disposal of the attendees 6 financial institutions, 2 Compensation Funds, 3 official entities related to the subject of housing, 2 Pension and Severance funds, 12 companies of supplies or remodeling, services, and publications.

A good time to invest

On the other hand, Camacol Antioquia said that this year the sector will grow by 9.7 percent, thanks to the support of the National Government and its "Mi Casa Ya" program, which will promote the acquisition of social housing for the middle class in the national territory, through a subsidy to interest rates.
"It is worth mentioning the policy of the National Government and its "Mi Casa Ya" program, which guarantees a unique opportunity of 130,000 quotas with subsidy to the interest rate and the initial payment for homes with prices below $ 93 million and 50,000 quotas of "Mi Casa Ya middle class", subsidizing the interest rate for homes of up to $ 231 million, " said Eduardo Loaiza Posada, Manager of Camacol Antioquia.
Thanks to this stimulus to acquire a new home, the generation of about 58 thousand new jobs will be promoted. In a project that has an investment of $1,025 billion: resources will be mobilized in the economy for $5.6 billion in inputs, marking more than 27 different economic sectors and 32 industries, which generates growth and development to the country. For its part, in the metropolitan area of Medellín, about 5,000 direct jobs are projected in the construction sector.
