International. NH Hotel Group announced that 100% of the electricity consumed by hotels, offices and other dependencies in Spain comes from renewable sources and is supplied by E.ON, which has a positive impact on the reduction of the carbon footprint. The agreement reinforces the relationship of trust in the products and services offered by E.ON to large clients such as NH Hotel Group.
NH Hotel Group renews for the fifth consecutive year its agreement with the energy group E.ON, the only supplier of the total electricity supply of the hotel company in Spain. The commercial relationship between the two companies began in July 2009 and has been extended until December 2015.
Thanks to this agreement, once again all the establishments, offices and other dependencies that NH Hotel Group has in Spain under the NH Collection, NH Hotels and Hesperia brands, work with the certified energy of renewable origin of E.ON.
Therefore, all the electricity consumed by NH Hotel Group since mid-2009 is of renewable origin, as certified by E.ON before the National Market and Competition Commission (CNMC). Through the renewal of this agreement, both companies confirm not only that sustainability is one of the fundamental pillars of their respective business models, but that it is possible to continue offering the best customer service, also betting on efficiency and care for the environment.
NH Hotel Group and E.ON also have other joint projects to promote the development of energy efficiency as a result of the synergy that both multinationals have for other European countries with which they also remain firmly committed.
